Job Summary:
As a Field Technician at Otlox Smarthome Automations, you will be the face of our company, responsible for the on-site installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of our smart home and hybrid, smart solar system systems. You will work directly with clients to ensure their systems are functioning optimally and that they receive the highest level of support. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to details and a dedication to providing outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities:
Perform on-site installation of various smart home devices and systems, including lighting control, security systems, thermostats, audio-visual equipment, and more.
Configure and program smart solar systems, home hubs, controllers, and devices according to project specifications and client needs.
Troubleshoot technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients, addressing their queries and resolving problems efficiently.
Educate clients on the operation and maintenance of their smart home systems.
Conduct routine maintenance checks and system updates to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate effectively with the sales and customer service teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment and adhere to safety regulations
Manage and maintain company tools, and equipment.
Represent Otlox Smarthome Automations professionally and courteously at all times.
Qualifications:
At least 2 years working experience in any tecnical field is a must.
Excellent knowledge of electrical wiring, low-voltage systems, and network fundamentals is a requirement.
Experience in configuration, and troubleshooting of smart home systems or related technologies (e.g., VOIP, AV, IT networking etc) is an added advantage.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for system configuration and troubleshooting.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a2 strong customer service orientation.
Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical clients.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Relevant certifications in any related field isa plus.
